HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving Feasting
When the Halloween pumpkins are gone,And the leaves have all fallen to ground,When the air has turned windy and cold,Then Thanksgiving will soon be around.
Thoughts of loved ones all feasting together,Pleasant pictures from past times appearTo dwell in each heart and each mind--Then Thanksgiving is finally here!
The kitchen has scrumptious aromas,The dining room looks oh, so fine,Decorations with pilgrims and turkeys,And now we are ready to dine!
First the napkins are placed on our laps;Now the prayer for the meal to be blessed,Then we stuff the good food in our tummies,And we hope for it all to digest!

A mini-vacation in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee

A couple of weeks ago we took a vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. We stayed in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. We enjoyed great weather, taking picture of the beautiful fall colors and a little early snow, and spending time relaxing.

We went to the Dixie Stampede Christmas Show. This is a family show owned by Dolly Parton. You are served dinner - without silverware. You eat all of it with your hands - Soup that you can either sip or dip your bread in it, chicken, potato, pork chop, corn on the cob, and an apple pastry. The show is lots of singing and entertainment. And most of the performance is on horses.

We also went into Gatlinburg and started our Christmas shopping. The next day we took a horse ride - It was only an hour ride. But this was Stephanie's first time on a horse ride. Patrick thought we should have gone for a longer ride. But one hour was enough for the first timer! Stephanie would love to go ride again, though!

The cabin had a pool table. When we were not catching up on sleep or watching movies, we played pool. Patrick kicked Stephanie's tail good playing pool! Oh well, it was about the fun!

Our last night there, one of our neighbors and his wife were in Pigeon Forge for the weekend. They came to our cabin. We grilled steaks, watched a movie and sat in the hot tub. A great time was had by all!

Patrick and I would love to have a Sigman family reunion. The resort has all sizes of cabins. And Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have plenty of things to do. Check it out on the internet and let us know what you think!

Here are pics of our new home in Hixson, TN. We love it here; we are hoping that we have more family come to visit!

Getting Ready!

We are in that time of year! We are getting ready for Thanksgiving. The first family holiday in our new house. And, the first holiday with some of Patrick's family with us, as well as my mother and her husband! We are SOOO excited! Busy planning menus, finishing putting the final touches on our house, and just enjoying fall! Will post some pictures from our vacation soon.
